About the Presenters

Dan Godeassi, Physiotherapist

Owner and Head Physiotherapist of Evolve Sports Medicine.

I am a physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach with a special interest in sports injuries, strength athletes and injury prevention. As well as working at Melbourne Strength Culture I also work as a physiotherapist for leading Australian powerlifting federations and the Sandringham Zebras Football Club (VFL).

I have had previous experience with numerous other sports including an internship at Stanford University working with their collegiate athletes of different disciplines. I particularly enjoy working with contact sports athletes and strength sports athletes such as powerlifters, weightlifters, strongman, CrossFit, fitness/figure and bodybuilding.

I like to keep up to date with the latest research in physiotherapy, strength and conditioning and exercise science such that I am equipped to give my patients the most effective rehab and quickest recovery from injury back to elite performance.

Jamie Smith, S+C and Powerlifting Coach.

Owner and Director of Melbourne Strength Culture.

I have 10 years experience working at the highest levels of human strength and performance in the gym setting. Having worked at VFL, AFL, MLB and national and with world record holding powerlifters, I have developed a system of coaching that allows my coaches and athletes to find success with performance outcomes across all spectrums of performance. Along with my S+C background, have always had a keen interest in rehabilitation and human movement.. had I not met Dan, I'd have probably gone on to study physiotherapy myself.

I see huge discrepancies in not only the understanding of scientific training principles within allied health and PTs/ coaches but also the personal practical experience required to best APPLY these principles in real time - this is what I aim to change with this course.
